How It Works
1. LyfeBytes LLC - Creator & Proprietary Rights Holder
LyfeBytes LLC designs, engineers, and maintains the core intellectual property behind our flagship wellbeing tools, including:
AfterByte — Legacy-through-AI for the terminally ill
LyfeSaver — Pocket mentor & recovery companion
Solace — Daily therapeutic journaling and emotional support
Future Systems — Angels & Demons, Babylon environments, and advanced AI cores
The LLC retains ownership of all proprietary software, codebases, brand assets, and research required to develop these systems.
2. The Bytes of Lyfe Foundation - Public benefit deployment
The Bytes of Lyfe Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on mental health, family legacy preservation, and equitable tech access. Through a perpetual licensing agreement, the Foundation receives:
Full rights to deploy LyfeBytes tools for public benefit
Permission to offer them free of charge
Long-term collaboration on design, safety, and accessibility
The Foundation does not pay licensing fees — the LLC intentionally reinvests this IP into the public good.
3. Perpetual licensing for social impact
To maintain transparency and ethical boundaries:
LyfeBytes LLC retains full intellectual property and creative control.
The Foundation receives an evergreen, royalty-free, non-revocable license to use the tools.
Tools built for the public remain free for individuals using the Foundation’s programs.
This structure ensures the tools cannot be taken, sold, removed, or restricted by outside influence — safeguarding both the LLC’s ownership and the Foundation’s mission.
